In a world that’s continuously becoming more and more developed, how could there be country that is relentlessly moving backwards instead of forward?
I realize that we are so removed from the situation that it happens to slips our mind and there’s barely any news coverage. But it shouldn’t be pushed to back burner. These are CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. These are living, breathing people who are being kept in deplorable conditions- conditions that barely allow a person to survive, from crossing that fragile line between life and death. In the article, a survivor describes that his fellow inmates deaths “was a joy – an opportunity – because burying these bodies earned an extra helping of food.”
The one thing I can do is to bring this to your attention and implore you to pass this on and to make this an issue that will make it more than just passing news. Reblog this. Send this to your Facebook friends. Talk about it with your family. Tweet about it. Post it on your blog. Because we shouldn’t be idly sitting by doing nothing. This situation deserves more than that.
